Safety Warnings & Usage Precautions

Safety Warnings

  1. This fan is a high-voltage electrical appliance. When the fan is energized, any non-professional personnel are prohibited from inspecting, repairing, or disassembling the fan.

  2. Personnel who are not technicians of our company are not allowed to disassemble or modify the fan.

  3. Sunlight shall not be liable for any property damage or personal injury caused by violation of the above provisions.

Usage Precautions

  1. When the high-voltage fan is in use, the aluminum casing of the motor must be grounded. Use M4 grounding screws with a tightening torque of 1–1.2Nm, and the recommended wire diameter of the grounding cable is ≥ 1.5 mm².

  2. The Amphenol high-pressure socket on the blower drive cover has no waterproof capability when there is no mating plug inserted. Water can enter the drive cavity from the socket. Therefore, when the blower is placed vertically, avoid having the socket side face the sky or be in a dripping area. Try to position the high-pressure socket on the side or bottom.

  3. The mesh cover fixing bolts are M10 hexagon socket bolts, which need to be equipped with spring washers and flat washers. The recommended tightening torque is 10–12Nm.

  4. Pre-charging is required when powering on the high-voltage power supply port. The capacitance value is 10μF, 1000V.

  5. The high-voltage power supply port needs to be always on, and it is not recommended for customers to frequently turn it on and off. The operating state of the fan can be controlled by using digital signals at the low-voltage communication control end to start and stop the fan.

  6. According to the provisions of ISO8820 Part 3, specified fuses must be used in high-voltage power supply circuits. The specific fuse rating needs to be determined by the customer with reference to the specific application (such as the length of the vehicle wiring harness, the cross-sectional thickness of the power wiring harness, and the type of fuse).

High Voltage Safety Requirements

Item Requirements
High Voltage Marking For exported vehicles, confirmation with the high-voltage electrical specialty is required.
High Voltage Interlock The assembly shall be able to detect the state of its own high-voltage interlock circuit, which shall be isolated from electrical circuits.
Ground Protection The high-voltage fan needs to be connected to the entire vehicle’s ground wire.
